F4u Corsair - Curtis P-40 - P-51B
These graphic style paintings were originally created to compliment the accompanying nose art panels in my Shadow Box Series. They were so well received, that I began selling them individually. Ira Kepfords F4U-1A Corsair and the Flying Tigers P-40 are printed in 4 color separation lithography on high quality stock.
Dom Gentile’s Shangr-La P-51B is available as either a photographically reproduced print on card stock or printed on a metallic paper which produces a stunning image that shimmers as you move past it.
These were painted in a more graphic style, so as not to compete with the realism of the Shadow Box nose art panels with which they were originally framed . Because the clean and simple style appealed to so many of my original clients, I have dusted them off, framed them in “Float Frames” and will, once again, make prints available on my Etsy site.
The framed images measure 21″ x 11″.
